SHARE AND POST YOUR SESSIONS

The most notable feature of VADEWIND is the ability to broadcast your sessions. When you send a session alert, friends who follow you on the app and those who follow the spot where you've sent the alert will receive an email with a link to your notice.

Furthermore, if you carry your phone (in a waterproof bag) or an Apple Watch with eSIM, you can activate real-time tracking, allowing other users to see all the details of your session live.

WINDSURFING SPOTS MAP



Currently, the map contains information on more than 300 windsurfing spots around the world. Moreover, any user can become a 'Spot Guru' and submit data on their favorite spots, so it is a growing list. The spot cards have a format that allows including all kinds of information, from detailed weather forecasts with the best wind and wave meteorological models thanks to Open-Meteo API, to statistics linked to the published sessions, comments from the app users, external weather stations, links to multimedia content, and much more.

OTHER WAYS TO USE THE APP

In addition to real-time notifications, you can also upload sessions later, or import sessions using the GPX generated by an activity watch. You can make the sessions private or public, receive likes, and have them shared as if it were a social network. They can also be neatly stored in your user area like a logbook, further generating statistics for all your sessions.

WING, SUP, SURF...

VADEWIND is the only app specialized exclusively in WINDSURF, and we like it that way. However, if you want to use it for other sports like Wing, Sup, Surf... you can do so (simply tag your activity when uploading it), but right now, the track analysis is for windsurf data, so it might not be accurate for other sports. If you use the spot map, also keep in mind that we list windsurf spots, and they may not always be compatible with other sports practices.

VADEWIND is an app created by windsurfers for windsurfers. The main developer is Jorge Tarazona (@jortaca), CEO of PORTFOLIO, with the invaluable help of Reyes Sánchez (photographer and driving force behind the project). VADEWIND is 100% free and without advertising. Furthermore, it does not contain advertising tracking scripts, so it currently operates thanks to the infrastructure of the PORTFOLIO company. If you want to help, you can do so in many ways:
